“Required Homework Art Club” is a weekly, summer art lesson for rising 6th-9th graders led by David Cook. This club is targeted toward students who are committed to improving their drawing skills and are willing to commit at least 1 hour a week outside of class time over the summer to do their Required Homework!
Each weekly lesson lasts for 1.5 hours at the Scrappy Elephant in Charlottesville, VA and features dedicated time for community building, fun warm ups, challenging technical assignments, inspiring project prompts, and time for personal art projects. With class sizes no larger than 8:1, each student can expect to receive a high level of support and immediate feedback on the art they are making.
